Kindle Paperwhite
As a voracious reader, I have been a loyal Kindle user since 2015 and, while I do still love physical books, the Kindle allowed me to read much more at a lower price and wherever I am.
Plus, being an ex-pat who moved several times in the last few years, not having to move piles of books is a huge perk that I am unwilling to give up easily.
Apple Magic Keyboard
I had the Apple Magic Keyboard for years now, and it is the one with which I feel the most comfortable typing.
There's nothing fancy or special about it. It is just the one I am most used to.
Gadget Bag
As I have the privilege to work remotely even on short notice, I use the Inateck tech travel pouch daily. Here I store most of the work gear I often use, hard disks, headphones, mouse, cables and pens, a portable office if you will.
Moleskine Notebook
As mentioned above, I take many notes, both in the job environment and when I address my side hustle(s).
I've been a user of Moleskine notebooks for years now, and they never let me down. I prefer the softcover ones as they are more lightweight.
Targus Laptop Bag
Often I have to carry my laptop with me, and a tote bag will not do it for me. Here is where this Targus bag comes it. While it still has all the protection you expect from a 15' laptop bag, it still looks clean. The bright orange interior allow you to find everything quickly, it has a hidden pocket, a loop to secure it to a suitcase, and the front pocket can easily store my kindle for easy access.
Heated Lunch Box
When I am in the office, I enjoy a warm homemade lunch, especially in winter. Even though my employer provides us with a microwave, we are several employees, and it can take a while for everyone to heat their lunch. This lunch box saved me, it heats up in 10 minutes, and the food tastes great. Plus, as an Italian, I can attest that pasta heated up here is much better than when heated up in the microwave.
What This Website is Built On
Exerti Wallet
A slim profile wallet that still allows you to hold 12 cards (being an ex-pat, you end up having almost double the documents and cards). It has RFID protection and looks elegant.
Webflow
This website's design, user interface and Content Management System (CMS) are all based on Webflow.
After years on WordPress, I switched to Webflow to give myself a challenge, and I have to say it is an incredible platform, very intuitive, especially if you are used to software such as Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop.
HostGator
HostGator is my hosting provider, I've been their client for several years, and overall, I have been as happy as I can be with a hosting provider.
ConvertKit
ConvertKit is my email marketing provider. If you are subscribed to The Spark (if you are not, what are you waiting for?!), you will have received several emails from me which use this service.
It is simple to use, and it provides everything a creator might need to launch a newsletter.
Doing Content Right by Steph Smith
Doing Content Right is the Bible for content creation. If you are considering launching a blog but don't know how to get started or what you should pay attention to, this is what you are looking for.
I cannot recommend it enough!
Parker Jotter
If you have read my how to take meeting notes post I wrote a while ago, you will know I write down everything Otherwise, I forget things. My pen of choice is the Parker Jotter ballpoint. It writes well, it is not crazily expensive, and it has a bit of weight.
Lavalier Mic
This lavalier mic has been one of the best purchases I have ever made. I spend most of my days in calls with clients or colleagues, and it is essential that they can hear me clearly.
This cheap microphone gets the job done and can be easily carried with me regardless of whether I am working from the office or home.
Work Tools
Jelly Comb Vertical Mouse
After having tried this mouse, I can safely say I will not go back to a traditional mouse anytime soon. The Jelly Comb vertical mouse allows me to maintain my wrist in a more natural position and avoid strain.
